why do i follow the nba again?
It's the time of the year for blockbuster deals, sign-and-trades, and hope for every team except for the Atlanta Hawks and the New York Knicks. And without further ado, so far in NBA free agency:
Peja Stojakovic is a New Orleans/ Oklahoma City Hornet, after his subpar year with Sacramento and then with Indiana, where his stroke was not as true.
Sam Cassell is a Clipper, still; molding the young mind of Shaun Livingston (isn't it his time yet?) and being the big balls that makes winning happen.
Tim Thomas is a clipper? 4 yrs, 24 million? Dammit, why do people keep hiring this guy? "Oh, he flashed brilliance (again)!" 6 mil a year for subpar effort and 14 points per game whether he's on the bench or not? Nothing I hate more than a guy who mopes his way into a trade to a much better team. We'll call that pulling a Vince Carter. Or an 'Zo Mourning, because he's a bigger jerk-off. Tim Thomas: should consider a move to basketball movies. He'd look very authentic.
The Philly Sixers are interested in Ben Wallace (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Like that's going to happen. How? A sign and trade? Bringing Webber back to Michigan? Ballhogging Iverson to play under Joe Dumars? Please.) and Jared Jeffries.
Also: Renaldo Balkman is still a warts-and-all player, according to his college coach, Dave Odom.
